These salad spoons were hand-carved by a local maker in Ahero, Kenya using Olive wood. Olive wood a hard, rich in color wood – is greatly valued for its appearance, density & fine texture. It is richly grained and is preferred over other materials because of its long-life durability.
Olive Wood Kitchen utensils remain smooth and intact for a good long time, unlike the regular wooden utensils which can start to wear out around the edges quickly. It is completely safe for nonstick cookware. It does not harm porcelain, ceramic, glass, or enamel and is stain & odor resistant.
